About Africa United Allstars Football Club
Our Philosophy
AUAFC aims at providing the African and wider Australian community the opportunity to develop their talent in football. Through meticulous nurturing, the club seeks to provide players with the experience and skills necessary for success in the sport at the highest level. The club intends to inculcate in its players virtues such as teamwork, fair play, friendliness and healthy competition.
We acknowledge the fact that not all players can, or may want to, play at the higher level of the game. Thus, we intend to maintain a presence in the amateur league to sustain the interest of those who wish to play at that level. Even here, the objective is to produce highly skilled and competitive players to help enhance grassroots development of football in Australia.
Mens sana in corpore sano – so goes the Latin for ‘a sound mind in a healthy body’. Besides the training of quality players and the development of football, AUAFC recognises the need for people to be in good health. Participation is sporting activities has proven to be a good way of staying healthy. To that end, the club aims to serve as a means of achieving personal physical fitness through various physical activities performed in the process of player conditioning.
From a social standpoint, the club aims to serve as an avenue for our young men (and women) to channel their energies into the performance of positive activities beneficial to themselves and society as a whole. Directly or indirectly, the club is committed to our peoples’ economic and social advancement through playing beautiful football – the world game..
