Africa United went into the 2nd game of the season brimming with confidence on collecting all points at stake. While the reserves managed a draw, the seniors suffered a reversal in a thrilling game at Modbury Jets.

The reserve team was thrashed 6-0 by Adelaide Wanderers in the opening match of the season, while the seniors came from two goals down at half-time to tie their encounter 2-2.

Both the reserves and the seniors drew their matches against their Flinders Uni counterparts in thrilling encounters at the Woodville High School on Saturday, March 1. The reserves' game ended 0-0 while the seniors were held to a 1-1 score line.

Africa United played its last friendly match of 2007 on Saturday 22 December against Liberia at Woodville High School. With just 4 senior team players and 4 reserves turning up for the match, it was always going to be an uphill task coming out of the game with something good. Player/Coach Siegfried Mends reports:
